QUALITY SPECIALIST (M/W/D)

We are looking for committed applicants for an exciting position in our renowned hightech metal company.

 

The position is located in the Quality Management department. The aim is to meet the requirements of ISO 13485:2016 (medical devices), improve operational collaboration with customers and suppliers and develop strategic partnerships.

 

Requirements are a completed technical education, at least three years of professional experience in a metal technology company and knowledge of quality management (preferably in the field of medical technology). Relevant experience in supply chain, production, customer and supplier management as well as a good command of English are an advantage.

Your main tasks

 

Customer support and quality assurance

  • Direct contact for customers regarding visits and audits
  • Support customers with quality issues and quality-related technical topics
  • Handle customer complaints

 

Internal collaboration and quality management

  • Create the quality plan for pre-series and sampling
  • Report on quality KPIs by milestone and complexity
  • Risk assessment (P-FMEA), coordination of tasks related to risk minimization
  • Participate in defining the scope of validation and sampling
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as production, QA/QP, engineering/technology, and development in defining quality activities in the manufacturing process
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
  • Moderate root cause analyses for internal and customer complaints

 

Supplier management

  • Evaluate new and existing suppliers, conduct supplier audits
  • Responsible for the scope of sampling for purchased parts and their approval

 

Product and process changes

  • Implement product/process changes in coordination with customers and suppliers
  • Monitor quality during prototype production and approve the manufacturing process for series production

 

Training and continuous improvement

  • Train and raise awareness among employees about customer quality requirements
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvement of customer satisfaction

 

Your education and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 13485, IATF 16949)
  • Further training in statistical process control and lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (FDA, CE marking)
  • At least 5 years of experience in quality management and process optimization
  • Conducting quality audits and risk analyses
  • Implementing and monitoring quality standards
  • Error analysis and correction (FMEA, 8D report, MSA, PPK)
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience in medical technology or automotive industry
  • Languages: German, English
